Project, the successful reconstruction of Portland & Lancaster Streets, the upcoming recsonstruction of Friend Street, and the North Station Mobility Plan are examples. In addition we routinely report issues to the City of Boston using the 311 mobile app and the Mayor’s 24 hour hotline.

We have established quarterly safety meetings to update our membership on the progress. We also work with area service providers to assist with a compassionate approach to the issues of homeless and panhandling in the community.
Networking
The Downtown North Association coordinates bi-monthly member luncheons where our members can connect with one another. The luncheon features a guest speaker to address a relevant topic or an area of concern for our community.
Transportation Network
The Downtown North Association is among the groups advocating for the North/South Rail Link. Currently, Boston is served by two commuter rail systems, one north of the city, the other south of the city. There is no direct connection between North Station and South Station. The NSRL would provide that connection and provide for direct service to both ends of the city. This would create a much more efficient transportation network and potentially relieve our roadways of thousand of cars.
